Listing Overview
Love is omnipresent, sometimes annoying, and often referred to as the most beautiful triviality in the world. Every love story also tells a life story, serving as a contemporary witness and biographical narrative. How has the search for and discovery of love changed with the significant shift to online dating platforms? What importance does marriage hold today? And does that one person for a lifetime even exist?
A group of young people from Weimar, aged between 13 and 18, set out to find the best and worst places for a date, meet couples who bridge the divides between Weimar's neighborhoods, and discover the most beautiful declarations of love. From interviews and neighborhood explorations, an audio walk is created, inviting you to stroll through Weimar West in perfect weather and discover new things with a love for detail.
At the premiere and the four subsequent performance dates, you will be welcomed by the ensemble at the Bürgerzentrum/Mehrgenerationenhaus Weimar-West. Outside of these guided performances, the audio walk can be individually experienced at any time, starting from the terrace of the Mehrgenerationenhaus Weimar-West. The project is a collaboration with the Mehrgenerationenhaus Weimar West and the Thuringian State Media Authority.
