Through the Roman section in the Groß-Gerau City Museum – an audio guide by children for children
Listing Overview
The Roman messenger god Mercury greets young visitors at the entrance to the Roman section of the Groß-Gerau City Museum and takes them on a tour of Roman times in the Hessian Ried. At seven stations, Roman clothing, food and drink, bathing culture, burial customs, and religious beliefs are entertainingly presented through small dialogues. This project was developed and narrated by sixth and seventh-grade students from Prälat-Diehl-Gymnasium Groß-Gerau, under the direction of Cornelia Hess and Julia Hegemann, with dramaturgical advice and production by Juliane Spatz and Maria Bonifer from hr2-Kultur. It was initiated and supported as part of the MUSEUMSLAUSCHER project by the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen and the Sparkassen-Stiftung Groß-Gerau. Photos by Samantha Pflug.
