This guide brings a character from Alfred Döblin's novel "Berlin Alexanderplatz" (1929) to life. The character Ida leads participants to various locations from Döblin's life and explores his work as a psychiatric doctor from a contemporary lay perspective. The guide can also be conducted as a rickshaw tour through contact with the Friedrichshain neighborhood center. Speakers include Michael Bienert (author and city guide), Monika Boldt (social worker and author), Dr. Thomas Götz (state commissioner for psychiatry), Elisabeth Lindig (performance artist and the voice of Ida), Dr. Sven Reiners (head of the forensic psychiatric hospital), and Dr. Ralph Susenbeth (head of the social psychiatric service in Friedrichshain). The concept and realization are by Sascha Hermeth. Music is provided by Stefan Faupel, Leon Jessel, Gioacchino Rossini, and Otto Reuter.
