Embark on an auditory journey that spans from the 16th century to the present day, taking you from Kreuzberg to Brazil and back again. I will reveal the invisible stories hidden behind the facades and in the unassuming corners of the neighborhood. Together, we will examine how the global economy shapes our daily lives and the city itself. We will explore coffee from various perspectives and trace the colonial footprints from the past to the present. This city tour is the result of a collective effort within the project "Sustainable but Colonial?!" Between February and June 2021, we investigated the extent to which colonial structures are connected to the consumption and production of coffee today. Understanding these processes is essential for creating a fairer world.
