The scenic tour through downtown Hamburg takes you on the trail of over 100,000 people from all over Europe who were imprisoned in the Neuengamme concentration camp in the Hamburg Vierlande between 1938 and 1945. With the tour "Paths to Neuengamme," you follow the stories of Hamburg residents who were persecuted during the Nazi era and sent to the Neuengamme concentration camp. The scenes are narrated by actress Herma Koehn and actor Wolfgang Hartmann, while the explanatory interludes are provided by Dr. Rita Bake. The idea, concept, and texts for this tour were developed by Dr. Rita Bake and Jens Michelsen (†).
