During the audio walk "Alte Messe: A World City for a Time," we immerse ourselves in the area between the Monument to the Battle of the Nations and the Soviet Pavilion. We stroll past enormous exhibition halls, functional office buildings, faded facades, and structures that make us wonder, "Is this a case for historic preservation or the wrecking ball?" It's certainly not an area that invites leisurely strolling. And that's precisely why there's so much to discover! Along the way, we hear the voices of people who were once involved with the fair, who work here today, or who have a unique, personal connection to the site.
