The audio trail is perfectly suited for children aged 6 and up and can easily be combined with the family audio guide. The tour starts in the village of Sauen and covers a distance of about three kilometers in approximately two hours, taking you through a representative part of the Sauen Forest. The 11 stations are marked by boulders with corresponding numbers. The circular route describes the state of the forest before, during, and after the work of August Bier in a child-friendly and engaging manner. Additionally, you will visit four art installations on the theme "Forest and Art in Context," created by students from the University of the Arts and installed directly in the forest. You will also learn about the burial site of Anna and August Bier, a ground pit, the Blood Beech Path, and the village of Sauen. The path mainly leads through the forest and requires weather-appropriate footwear.
