H.I.P.P.O.
The audio walk project H.I.P.P.O. was created as part of the 2019 Monologue Festival ALARMSTUFE ROT and addresses the sixth mass extinction in Earth's history, as well as the question of who should go extinct: humans, everyone, or no one? On November 16 and 23, 2019, at 5:30 PM each day, the Hippo came to life (Station 5) and accompanied participants in a live performance. In H.I.P.P.O._Rot, the underlying elemental being BODEN is given a voice: it shows where it can be found – in the present, mythically, and historically – and explains what H.I.P.P.O. means and stands for. The performance and narration are by Birte Flint, with the concept, text, and realization by Tarik Goetzke. The project is a co-production of the 2019 Monologue Festival and Theaterdiscounter.
