Listing Overview
Greek mythology recognizes two deities that represent time: Chronos, the son of the earth goddess Gaia and the water god Hydros, as the personification of eternal time flow, and Kairos as the fleeting moment that must be seized. KlangWandel Flux explores the multidimensionality and cyclical structure of time and establishes a connection to the element of water: water exists simultaneously in various states of matter in multiple locations and is the foundation of life for plants, animals, and humans. The experience features a mix of field recordings, musical sound collages, and text fragments from different eras, creating a new layer over the everyday scenes along the path between the Kunsthaus Sans Titre and the Potsdam Museum. The sounds can be played on your own smartphone and headphones. Sina Schmidt is responsible for the concept, texts, and voice, while Phillip Feneberg handles sound design and composition. KlangWandel is part of the Intersonanzen Festival 2023.
