Welcome to the Vienna Fairy Tale and Legend Hiking Trail! This path follows the map by August Hirschvogel from the 15th century through the 1st district of Vienna. Your guide on this tour is Wutzl, the forest gnome from the Wachau, whose main goal is to get children (and maybe one or two adults) to enjoy hiking again! Wutzl is accompanied by Tommi Tratschtrommel, the storyteller, who shares the legends and fairy tales along the way.

There are a total of 11 stations over cobblestone and stone pavement. The route is approximately 3 km long. It starts at Michaelerplatz near the Roman excavation site and ends at the Schottentor tram station. The return trip from Schottentor to the starting point at Michaelerplatz takes about 10 minutes (800 m). The walking time for the tour is about 40 minutes, and the storytelling time is about 104 minutes, making a total of approximately 144 minutes (about 2.5 hours).
