Listing Overview
The audio walk was commissioned by the Museum Haus Opherdicke on the occasion of the exhibition "HERBERT ROLF SCHLEGEL - The Reconciliation of Man and Nature." It explores the theme of the exhibition and invites visitors to take a walk around the museum. Through his paintings, artist Herbert Rolf Schlegel captures specific scenes: the motifs reflect his perspective. What intentions, longings, and ideas are hidden within them? And how can his view of people and nature be reconciled with the one we, as viewers, hold almost 100 years later? These and other questions are addressed during the 30-minute audio walk, as the landscape, personal experience, and the painter's imagery blend into a unique mix of reality. Additionally, clothing items can be discovered in the surroundings that appear as if they have stepped out of Schlegel's paintings.
