"Der Rache nicht" is a documentary audio walk through the urban space of Frankfurt. It begins with the biographies of several Frankfurt artists who were persecuted by the Nazi regime and pushed out of the city's cultural life starting in 1933. Photographers Nini and Carry Hess ran one of the most famous photo studios of the Weimar Republic at Börsenplatz. Hans Erl and Magda Spiegel were star singers at the Frankfurt Opera, and actor Joachim Gottschalk shone in youthful hero roles at the theater. Their trails were lost as the Nazi dictatorship progressed, prompting us to search: How did the 1933 power shift affect Frankfurt's artistic life? Which names, that significantly shaped the 1920s, are forgotten today? And, of course, the question: What can we learn from our history in light of the current rise of right-wing parties? The life paths of the artists presented here make it clear that exclusion and persecution were not established overnight back then. It may be too late for "Wehret den Anfängen!" (resist the beginnings) today. All the more important now is to listen, to look, and to raise objections.

The audio walk by the Kollektiv Widerhall (Casagrande/Haagen/Schwesinger) allows the audience to locate the stories of the artists in the city we traverse daily. It combines historical material with fictional text passages and seeks interactions with the contemporary city. The route is approximately 3 km long and includes several opportunities to sit. Please note that some streets need to be crossed along the way. The audio walk can only be experienced in the direction from Willy-Brandt-Platz to Hansaallee 7.
