Audio guide by children for children: Time travel in the museum with Philipp and Anna
Listing Overview
Museum mouse Anna and city lion Philipp greet the visitors at the museum entrance and take them on a time-travel journey to meet Emperor Wilhelm II, whose portrait hangs above a sofa in the entrance area. At various stations, they explain and narrate what was happening in Zwingenberg at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, and how people lived and worked back then. The children of class 4a from Zwingenberg's Melibokus School have not only brought the museum mouse and city lion to life but also made various exhibit items speak. Those curious about what a sheep is doing in the printing workshop and where else it can be found in Zwingenberg should listen to the audio guide until the end. This audio guide, initiated and funded by children for children, was part of the MUSEUMSLAUSCHER project by the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen and the Sparkasse Bensheim's anniversary foundation, in celebration of the museum's 40th anniversary in 2023. The audio guide was professionally supported and produced by media coaches and radio journalists Juliane Spatz and Maria Bonifer from hr2-kultur, in collaboration with the Zwingenberg Historical Society 1971 e. V., represented by curator and museum educator Berenike Neumeister. The class 4a was also accompanied and supported in this project by their teacher Cornelia Dähn. Please note: Stations 3 to 7 on the upper floors are only accessible via stairs!
