The Cat from Helmholtzplatz. An audio play for children and parents to follow along
Listing Overview
He is the most well-traveled cat in Berlin: Socks – the curious feline has only recently moved to Prenzlauer Berg. Now, he is exploring his new home, the area around Helmholtzplatz. On his adventure, he is accompanied by the children from Thomas-Mann Elementary School. They show him their neighborhood because they know the people who live there: for example, the old man who, as a boy, used to feed the horses in the backyard with fresh fodder, or the woman who remembers the rabbits in her mother's kitchen cabinet. Socks befriends the old parrot in the pet shop on Dunckerstraße. At Helmholtzplatz, he meets a musician and performs a song with him. Finally, he makes a grand leap. "The Cat from Helmholtzplatz" is an audio play for 9-13-year-olds and all those young at heart.
