Listing Overview
Artworks in public spaces can be found in Siegen in various forms—often they are only noticed in passing. However, it is worth taking a closer look. Information about many of the designs in squares, on buildings, and in green spaces is rather scarce. For this reason, KulturSiegen, in collaboration with actors and narrators Lars Dettmer and Philipp Feltkamp, has developed two walking tours for Guidemate. These tours allow you to discover the artworks of the now 800-year-old city largely independently of opening hours and without any admission fees.
The "Blue Tour," with 10 stops, begins at the marketplace and leads through artistically designed paths to the lower town, past the famous monuments of "Henner" and "Frieder," and across the Sieg River to Scheinerplatz in front of the Apollo Theater. The first four artworks of the "Blue Tour" can also be discovered in a different order on the "Pink Tour." The "Pink Tour" includes 17 stops and can be started at https://de.guidemate.com/guides/64ba30221c40f831e874a193?selectedGuideLocale=de.
