Listing Overview
In Heinrich-von-Kleist Park, until the early 20th century, there was Berlin's first botanical garden, of which nothing remains today. Except for the "House at Kleist Park," all the buildings and greenhouses from that time have disappeared. The audio walk "Green Traces" invites you to explore the history of the botanical garden between 1679 and 1910. There are eleven audio stations throughout the park, based on the 1886 plan of the botanical garden. In the audio scenes, experts share anecdotes and knowledge and engage in dialogues with voices from the past. The audio walk is designed for headphones. A park map is available in the foyer of the House at Kleist Park. The walk can be listened to directly through the browser on a smartphone, but it is recommended to download the Guidemate app. Accompanying materials and source references can be found at: https://www.hausamkleistpark.de/audiowalk/
